SIGGRAPH 2026 Links

The main links you need: Stephen Hill’s wonderful page of links, and Natasha Tatarchuk has added the content from this year’s Advances in Real-Time Rendering in Games course to our site’s archive area. Those two links alone should keep you plenty busy.

I went to SIGGRAPH this year, possibly for the last time, as I’m now retired (for real), as of June 22nd. It’s great to go to SIGGRAPH and catch up with friends, but a bit of a long trip for me (5+ hours Boston to LA, for the flight alone). Here’s hoping for a location someday east of the Mississippi. My random photo collection is here – expect a lot of teapots, as that’s the session that was most photogenic to me.

Now to try to catch up with the hundreds of “cool graphics links I’ll explore someday” that are squirreled away in my bookmarks collection. One entire unrelated-to-graphics one for you now (as I just happened to see a 93.5% eclipse while in England): the future eclipse page, by Fredo Durand, who notes, “The whole thing took me less than a day with Claude Code.” Even has a Spotify playlist.

This picture cracks me up: me with Martin Newell and Jim Blinn at SIGGRAPH, which looks kinda Photoshopped. A student volunteer offered to take my picture with them, I guess “with” defined as “in proximity.”
