Sixteen (or seventeen, depending how you count ShaderX2) books since 2002 &#8211; amazing. BTW, I maintain a links page for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.realtimerendering.com\/resources\/shaderx\/\">just this series of books<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><em>The Ray Tracer Challenge<\/em> I don&#8217;t know anything about, I just happened upon it &#8211; I&#8217;ve just ordered one. Two things I like seeing: First, the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/MFjmpjPwFEM\">YouTube advertisement<\/a>\u00a0reminds me a bit of &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.welcometonightvale.com\/\">Welcome to Night Vale<\/a>.&#8221; Second, if you buy the physical and (DRM-free) eBook together, <a href=\"https:\/\/pragprog.com\/book\/jbtracer\/the-ray-tracer-challenge\">the bundle is cheaper<\/a>. This should be the norm. Unfortunately, <a href=\"https:\/\/smile.amazon.com\/Ray-Tracer-Challenge-Test-Driven-Renderer\/dp\/1680502719?tag=realtimerenderin\">Amazon&#8217;s price<\/a> is $10 less than the publisher&#8217;s, so, much of that savings gets wiped out (though Amazon has just the DRM&#8217;ed Kindle version, of course).<\/p>\n<p>Both books are selling well, but neither can outdo the popularity of <em>Plant Based Cookbook for Beginners<\/em>, #1 in <a href=\"https:\/\/smile.amazon.com\/gp\/bestsellers\/books\/3937\/ref=pd_zg_hrsr_books\">Best Sellers in Rendering &amp; Ray Tracing<\/a>.
