Such articles are great for getting up to speed on a topic.<\/li>\n<li>Jendrik Illner has been writing <a href=\"https:\/\/jendrikillner.bitbucket.io\/post\/\">a weekly roundup<\/a> of recent blog posts and other online resources for computer graphics. Some good stuff in there, articles I missed, and I&#8217;m happy to see someone filtering through and summing up what&#8217;s out there. I hope he doesn&#8217;t burn out anytime soon.<\/li>\n<li>ACM TOG is now encouraging\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/tog.acm.org\/replicability.cfm\">submitting code with articles<\/a>, so as to be able to reproduce results and build off previous work.\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.realtimerendering.com\/blog\/why-not\/\">I&#8217;m happy to see it<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>There is now a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.economist.com\/news\/science-and-technology\/21722822-publons-wants-scientists-be-rewarded-assessing-others-work-peer-review\">Monument to an Anonymous Peer Reviewer<\/a> at Moscow&#8217;s Higher School of Economics (more pics <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nature.com\/news\/monument-to-peer-review-unveiled-in-moscow-1.22060\">here<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kickstarter.com\/projects\/972533097\/monument-to-an-anonymous-peer-reviewer\">Kickstarter page<\/a>). I liked, &#8220;Researchers from across the world will visit to touch the \u201cAccept\u201d side in the hope that the gods of peer review will smile down upon them.&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>Some <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/madewithARKit\">ARKit apps in development<\/a>\u00a0look like wonderful magic. Which is often how demos look, vs. reality, but let me have my dreams for now.<\/li>\n<li>One more AI post:\u00a0the jobs of people who name colors <a href=\"https:\/\/arstechnica.com\/information-technology\/2017\/05\/an-ai-invented-a-bunch-of-new-paint-colors-that-are-hilariously-wrong\/\">are not yet at risk<\/a>. Though I do like the computer&#8217;s new color name &#8220;Snowbonk&#8221; and some of the others. Certainly &#8220;Stanky Bean&#8221; is descriptive, no worse than <a href=\"http:\/\/www.realtimerendering.com\/blog\/chartreuse-and-puce\/\">puce<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>I should have reposted months ago, but many others already have.
