Gilbazoid: yes, I was figuring Eyefinity would be good for tiled displays, but such a use implies that the models and shaders getting used are much simpler than the display resolution actually needs - a real mismatch of capabilities.</description>

I bet eyefinity would be useful for visualization labs&#039; tiled panel displays.  We have a 5x15 tiled display at UT/TACC&#039;s visualization center being driven by 23 towers each packed with double graphics cards.  It&#039;s a little bit perverse, but if you could drive 6 displays from a single tower that would save the viz lab (or anyone else looking to build such a display) a lot of money, not only in up front machine investment but also on power to run the thing.</description>
